so now i think i officially know what people mean when they say they can 'feel their heart in their throat'.
tonight i got pulled over for the first time.
i was on orchard going towards lone pine bc i was heading to meet mandi at that starbucks thats in that shopping center right there. so rather than turn into it right off orchard, i turned right into the street RIGHT BEFORE the strip mall, then made a left INTO it. as soon as i get in, i look in my rearview and see flashing cop lights.
oh
shit.
i put it into park RIGHT IN FRONT OF KROGER and i cant even think of what i mgiht have done. so at first i think maybe its not me. or something.
yeah. right.
so he shines that blinding white light in my eyes. and i know its me. and he comes up to my window and he's like 'license and registration'--without telling me ANYTHING. and i have NO IDEA what i did. at all.
so i fiddle with my fuckign NEW WALLET and try to find everything. (lol and i amd LUCKY AS SHIT bc RIGHT BEFORE i left iw as going through my wallet and took out my OLD LICENSE i had in there BEHIND the newest one...THAT could have ended badly...)
then he looks at me like im stupid or something and is like 'inSURance?'
so i fiddled in the glove compartment and got it out. lucky for me i even knew where it was, its not like it was MY OWN car....and i give it to him and he goes back to his car
lol then sara calls and im so freaked out i clumsily fiddle with my phone and hang up on her then chuck it onto the passenger seat.
he comes back and is like 'so where are we headed tonight' and i tell him im jsut going like 10 FEET UP to where the caribou is. and he's like, 'how's your driving record?' and i told him id never gotten a ticket and NEVER EVEN BEEN PULLED OVER! and then i guess he went to go double check me bc he went BACK to his fuckign cop car.
comes back and FINALLY tells me wtf i did. hes like 'so did you see that no left turn sign back there?'
duh. of course i didnt see it. i didnt even know there WAS a fuckign sign there. bc ive done it before. ive been with PEOPLE who have done it before. that is SO fucked up.
so i tell him no. and hes like 'i see here youre from 28665 appleblossom, in farmington hills.'
and iw as like, 'yeah im not even FROM here, i dont come around here that often'
so he goes back to his car AGAIN (who the fuck knows what he did ALL THOSE TIMES).
and he comes back, and says to me 'ever hear the phrase IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE?"
so i said yes......and he waslike THINK ABOUT IT.
and gave me back my license and got in his car and drove away
so i guess i should be glad to get off with nothing. but WHAT A FUCKING JACKASS. motherfucker. no need to be condescending and obnoxious.i swear. its not enough you scared the little teenage girl shitless? you need to be a fucking prick to top it off?

haha so yesterday seems worthy of an update...
at lunchtime, i cashed a bday raincheck and went to lunch with my grandma. lol and we ended up going to this japanese restaurant! but it was yummy. we ate sushi. hhahah mmmmmmmmmmm. then the waiter knew it was my 'bday' and when he brought out dessert, he held his LIGHTER over the 'cake' and told me to make a wish and blow it out--bc they were out of candles...
then johnny had invited me to a tigers game that night with him, steve, and mary/katie. we had ROCKIN seats (right at first base, 9 rows up)

8. getting back to johnny's house and johnny saying 'hey i think katie wanted me to put my arm around her or something bc she kept leaning her head on my shoulder and saying she was cold'

so this is good. i got kirk to come to his own bday party. and the plan was for kelly, kelly, and steve to meet us there, and be there for when i came with kirk at 11. so kirk's supposed to call me so we can walk together. it gets to be 1130 when he finally calls and he's JUST WOKEN UP. so he says he has to take a quick shower then we'll go--he's like, so do you still wanna do lunch? and im like, um, YES!!!
so i call steve and let him know whats going on, and then kirk doesn tcall back again until almost 12! so basically his friends have been waiting for hte guest of honor for ALMSOT AN HOUR!
so we finally go, and we walk in, andi walk in first. and when kirk sees them, the first thing he does is look and them, and loook and me, and say 'O G-D.'

but it was fun. good times.
then later on at like 11 kirk came back over so we could study astro (in a FRUITLESS effort, might i add, since we both prolly FAILED that bitch...)
and we didnt even start studying till almost 12. then we got thru almost a page of review, and kirk decided he wanted jimmy johns. and since its passover i had to get mine with no bread. haha kirk wanted me to ask if htey could make my sandwich on UNLEAVENED bread. hehehe
then he told me that since i keep kosher i couldnt eat the sandwich he was getting either. and iwa slike, well whats on it? and he was like, well it has roast beef, and you cant have that, can you? and i was like, ummmmm why not? and he's like,w ell you cant have pork can you? and i was like, 'kirk hunnie? BEEF comes from a COWWWWWWWW'
HAHAHHA. my friends are awesome.
then we attempted to study a little. but we were a little slaphappy. since we 'studied' from like 11-4am. hehehe. not very productive hours...
like i took my chair home, so kirk had to sit on a pillow on the floor. and he stood up. and was like 'oww my hip!' heheheh. old man kirk.
and he started chewing this WAD of 'strawberry splash' bubble gum that, i swear, wa slike the size of a golf ball. and then proceeded to keep blowing GIGANTIC bubbles that kept popping on his face. lol
then we proceeded to make fun of mario the rest of the night.

so aside from my unfortunate fire-alarm-wakeup at 945 today was a good day.
the other day, jeff imed me (mind you, we've been good friends since like 2nd grade, but we hadnt talked much all semester...) out of nowhere. and asks me if i want to GO TO THE MALL with him today. so im just like. um. ooookay...
so this morning i go over to mojo to meet him and we go to his room, but his roomies are fast asleep. so we tiptoe around his room, get his stuff, and then leave. we wait outside in the rain for the bus and then talk away the loooooooong busride to briarwood
so we get there and go right to american eagle (aka the best store EVER, right sara?). he has a $25 gift card so we're on a mission to find something that's around that price. we check out all the options and he asks me for my opinion on each and every thing. sorry jeff, but you were NOT getting the PINK button down. we narrow it down to a cute orange striped polo and a long sleeve button down white shirt with blue and green stripes.
so then
jeff: but i like them both, how do we decide?
me: well hun, ill tell you waht us GIRLS do when we like more than one thing--we go to the dressing room, try both on, and decidew hich looks the best.
jeff: whoa,g irls are smart. thats a good idea.
so then jeff gives me permission to go look around for ME and i do. and we go into the dressing rooms and he decides on the button down (VERY cute, i approve) and i get a cute summery tank.
then (yes sara, i could NOT leave with only one thing...) i decide i want to get a bag, one of their cute totes. so there's 3 different choices, all white with different colored stripes, colored handles, and a graphic. theres option A---yellow stripes and an orange handle, option B---green stripes and a pink handle, or option C---blue stripes and a pink handle.
i like the blue. jeff likes the yellow. then jeff says that the green/pink is like a watermelon, and maybe i should go for hte watermelon bc EVERYbody likes watermelon. so then i was like, 'so youre telling me, if i carry this bag, then im a watermelon and everybody will want to be friends with me???' and he was like, 'no silly, if you carry that bag then you will be CARRYING a watermelon, and WHO doesnt want to be friends with someone htat has a watermelon>???'
so then i decided to screw the watermelon and go for the yellow or the blue. jeff wanted yellow. i wanted blue. then he proceeded to explain how the yellow was more summery, and the blue was more springy. but he kept pushing for the yellow. so. i went with it. and now i have a yellow and orange bag.
then i started looking at all the flip flops. but then i tried to use that nonexistent willpower of mine, and turned around and i waslike ok jeff im NOT getting shoes today, im NOT.
5 minutes later im looking at flip flops again. jeff comes up and is like 'what happened to your anti-shoe determination?' and i was like 'yeah. um. thats over.'
but no shoes for me. thank you jeff. keep me (kind of) focused. then i decided that i needed a new wallet bc mine is CRAP. so jeff picks me out one that has blue stripes. nice jeff. very nice.

so last night i went down to east quad to chill with my FAVEEE EQ-ers (and my tripet! lol not to be confused with twin b or twin c....)
talked to matty while i was gettin ready to leave and we concluded that id have to take lots of hott pics. and when i said they might not all turn out great, he reassured me that if I was in them, then they'd be hott. i luv you, my thug! youre so good to me ;)
walked down to EQ, whereupon mandi and i were sent to go get some chaser, so we went next door to the in-n-out. mandi's like, so what do you think we should get? and iw aslike, well diet coke is usually good. and s=he's like, you chase with pop? and i was like, why, do you chase with like, juice? and she was like, actually we chase with food.
food? how TF do you chase with food??
apparently they would like, take shots, and then be like ANIMAL CRAcKER! or... CARROT!
now THATs orignal. and. needless to say. we got pop. and minnie bought some nutterbutters and lucky charms.
we all sat in a big circle in mandi and amy's room and got started. jimmy made us all malibu 'screwdrivers' (but as i was later corrected by the d man, those do NOT even come CLOSE to qualifying as screwdrivers....but thats just the easiest way to explain them lol)...and for those of you who have NOT tried malibu? how sad for oyu. its yummy (well, not PLAIN--then, according to jimmy, it tastes like suntan lotion...) but with OJ, oooh yum. its coconut flavored rum. so with oj its like oj with a hint of coconut. mmmmmm mmmm good.
AND since its just rum, and you use a lot of oj, having 2 glasses like me and minnie did, does not even make you BUZZED (like not at ALL), but its jsut something that tastes good. and i like it that way. theres no need for anyhing else really. i think that THIS is the way to do it.
then we played some 'apple to apple' which was interesting, given that basically everyone BESDIES mandi and me was really tipsy. got some funny answers.
called the d man at midnight--happy bday d man! and upon calling, he made me sing. lol. thanks dman. but its all good. because d man--you know we dawgs.
then we went out to try out one of jimmys friends house parties, but we couldnt find it. but we did go inside ONE house so amy could pee. and they made her wipe with a TOWEL. that. is. disgusting.
then we went to big 10 burrito to get jimmy some churros. which are actaully yummy btw, i had a bite...and we bumped into this guy that went to school wiht jimmy and mandi, who was CLEARLY drunk. and he looked at them and was like 'heyyy you two went to cranbroooooooooook...right??' and they were like yup. and he ws like 'iiiiiiiii think i rmmmmmmber youuu guyzzzzz'. i was THISCLOSE to making a sad face and going, 'you dont remember ME?' jsut to mess iwth him. mwahahha
then mandi and i stopped back by east quad to hijack a DVD of gilmore girls, and headed back to my place. where we ate bday cheesecake and ordered jimmy johns and watched gilmore girls until bedtime at 530.

had two classes today but both were surprisingly bearable. 1st one was with jason avant who came and sat nex tto me again. which was sweet. and he came in singing to his ipod. and kept singing. to me. hehehe. and he's really good too--he invited me to his gospel choir's concert. cool beans. then he kept nudging me and whispering to mee all of class. and when sam, our prof, asked what kind of candy we wanted after our finals? jason was all for hte 'fun size twix!' and sam laughed. and jason was like, hey, im jsut watching out for your wallet, sam. hehehe. awesome
then more class.
then olga and i went to beansters for a REALLY late lunch at like 330. split sushi and salad. yum yum. haha the(cute) guy that was helping us set down our food in front of us and wa slike 'happy birthday', jsut kidding around, and olga wa slike HEYYYY it really IS her bday today!
then came back here and jsut chilled a little. left to go take ashower and got wished a happy bday by some OTHER towel-clad girl in the bathroom. how nice.
actually took the time to experiment and managed to (successfully!) straighten my hair. woot woot. not too shabby i must say...
then took the CHEESECAKE that i recieved via a PACKAGE in my mailbox today...and went over to mika's for an 'oc party' lol. except that mika wasnt htere, she was at maroon five. so. change of plans. polina and krissy and i watched the first half of oceans 12 and ate popcorn.

so. today was fun
met mandi and jimmy for dinner at this really cool new restaurant called "Za's" and it's like this cute cafe where you can make your own salads, or pastas, or pizzas, or smoothies, and--they have cheesecake factory cheesecake--YUM. so that was DElish. then, even tho jimmy had said he was in a hurry, we sat and talked for a LONG time. and jimmy and i discovered that we are OFFICIALLY music TWINS. and we're making each other mix cds and then swapping. i cant wait!
then we were still hungry so we went to stuccis and each of us got waffle cones with sprinkles on top. and an extra side of sprinkles. haha i followed minnie and jimmy's lead on that one...
then on the way to drop jimmy at east hall to study, we got cornered by this creepy old homeless man. he came up and was like 'sorry to interrupt your conversation, but do you have 2 quarters that i can have?' ((a very POLITE begger, i must say)) and then i felt bad bc all i had with me was chapstick. and i waslike, 'all i have is chapstick, im sorry, im terrible'--totally kidding btw--and then he was like 'oh youre not terrible honey, youre wonderful jsut for looking'

then mandi fished out 13 cents from her pockets, and he thanked us for our time. then as he was walking away he was like 'sorry again to interrupt, please, continue!'

its been one long shitty weekend.
friday: work. which was crazy bc of the state-kentucky game
saturday: homework. stayed inside to avoid hash bash. damn liberal university. got a fuckign BUG in my pizza house chipati (and am now officially BOYcotting pizza house). manager was a dick about it. he obviously didnt realize that i WORK IN 2 FUCKING RESTAURANTs and know how things SHOULD be handled. dumbass. then dinner with kirk and kel at noodles (haha until they closed. and yodeled. wow.) witnessed a bum fight over territory on state street. found out that hte charm i mailed home to my parents got lost in the mail, ended up in fucking DETROIT, and got ripped off entirely. poor me. state lost to UNC and i heard about all the rioting. and tear gas. and burning cars. then one of my good friends got rushed to the hospital. gave us all quite a scare. kirk and i stayed up attempting to distract ourselves with some shitty latenight tv until 730 in teh morning, hoping to hear some good news. which we didnt find out till the next afternoon. but its all good. he's ok.

sunday: going to work on 3 hours of sleep is a bitch. just fyi. and fucking 'wrestlemania' was on. so b dubs was packed. i swear i think ilost brain cells jsut BEING there.
then today. well. its really nice out! too bad im not enjoying it. having some issues with my future housemates. acutally. jsut one. she still needs to sign the lease. im a bit more lax about it than my OTHER roomie, whose a little concerned. which is ok. since its already APRIL. so she asked said-unsigned-roomie about signing. [[unjustified freakout here]]. she was like, 'i cant believe she's not more sympathetic, given the events that occured the day i was SUPPOSED to sign.' yes. that was not a good day for her. her dad died like hte night before. and i realize that thats tough. REALLY fucking tough. no doubt about that. NONE. but its april. and that was october. and whil,e i realize that youre OBVIOSULY still mourning---which is TOTALLY allowed---you still need to sign the lease for our house. and its gonna be hard no matter WHEN you do it. and i realize that the two of US still need to see the house. so i offered to go with you to sign AND go see it with you. the response "yeah, whatever melissa" [turns and walks away]. ok. so. im sorry youre still upset. like i said, thats allowed. but dont you EVER take that shit out on me. and roomie #2. thats fuckign emotional blackmail, calling us insensitive and shit. we have been MORE than there for you through ALL of this. so dont you fuckign call us insensitve. if we said, 'get over it and sign the damn lease, already'---THATS fuckign insensitive. but letting it go this far? offering to haul our asses all the way out to who KNOWs where to go with you to sign? YOURE fucking insensitive.

next year's gonna be tough. i just have that feeling.

today i was walkig through the diag and i was on the phone with sara, and i waslike 'haha theyre protesting coke in teh diag again' and she was like "OMG WHY??? i need to like PROTEST THE PROTEST!"
